About me

I am a journalist, poet, and designer based in New York City. I specialize in metro reporting with a background in data visualization and illustration. I am also a graduate of the Journalism and Design department at The New School

I report on crime, breaking news, and the off-putting and taboo parts of politics and city life.

You can read my reporting in The New York Post, The Daily Beast, The New School Free Press and my poetry in The Weasel and Eleven and a Half magazine. Read my clips here

Currently, I am a full-time General Assignment Reporter for the New York Post. You can send tips to zhussain@nypost.com

Previously, I was the Managing Editor of The New School Free Press, an Editorial Intern at The Untitled Magazine, and a media intern for The NYC Civic Engagement Commission.
